INFO & GOSSIP STRAIGHT FROM THE HORSE'S MOUTH!

April 2008:
"Hey all! Since Linc moved the business up to Merseyside things have been a bit slow, building up our Northern reputation almost from scratch after years of great gigs down South. But things are picking up nicely for us now, we're filling our diary with weddings, etc. and venues up here have finally started to chase us for bookings, instead of the other way around!

As business picks up, it's getting tougher and tougher for Adam and myself to do some of the smaller gigs, cos of our session work commitments. We've all been on the hunt for high-quality musicians who can stand in for us and still put on a great live show whenever necessary... And we have found them! Anyone who came to our pub gigs in recent weeks will probably have seen one or both of our deputies in action, and Linc's performances seem to get more hyperactive with every gig, so you can be sure of a great show WHOEVER is up on stage with him! But rest assured, Adam and myself are still as keen as ever - studio session work pays well, but you can't beat playing live! - so you'll still be seeing us at most future RocknRoll Superbowl shows.

So long for now,
Crafty Chris"

Jan 2008:
"Our new demo tracks are finished! You can listen to them on our "Demo stuff" page. Please let us know what you think about them - emails to info@rocknrollsuperbowl.com.

Cheers,
Lucky Linc"

Jun 2007:
"What a month! Not a lotta people know this but our frisky frontman Linc used to study at Cambridge - yeah, I know, we couldn't believe it either! He's been asking us to gig at his old Uni for years but me an' Chris always thought they'd be too... 'reserved' down there for us! Anyway, he finally persuaded us to do it this year, and now I wish we'd done it ages ago: Gorgeous girls in cocktail dresses, lads all suited'n'booted in tuxedos, but PARTY ANIMALS THE LOT OF 'EM! At 'Corpus Ball' the security team had to keep breaking up stage invasions, people were crowd-surfing, Chris and Linc both lost their wigs to groupies, it was wild! We'll be heading back to Cambridge for their 'Freshers Week' in October - now we've had a taste of it, it's me and Chris pestering Linc to get some more gigs down there! In the meantime, keep your eye on our Gigs page and come see us back on our new home-patch in the North-West!

Rock on,
Angry Adam"

Feb 2007:
"It's been a fun start to the year.  We've done a great run of holiday camp shows, even though it IS out of season - we're expecting a fair bit of work this Summer as a result.  Plus we did a private booking where the guests went almost as wild offstage as we did onstage - who said that everyone's all partied out after New Year, eh?!

It isn't just gigs that have kept us busy - we've just invested in a swanky, fully digital drumkit, and an in-ear monitoring system.

The BIG advantage of that is that we can finally start using the clicktracks we've been working on for months!  Clicktracks will add extra instrumentation to the songs we play, giving our shows a more full, polished sound - but yes, we WILL still be playing and singing totally live!  We've even recorded all of the clicktracks ourselves to keep the live rocknroll energy that we love so much.

The new gear also means we can set up in smaller spaces and play at quieter volumes if a venue requires it.  AND we can set up and soundcheck more quickly, without needing to hire a sound engineer, so now there's one less person on our payroll - a saving we'll pass on to all you lovely people out there who decide to book us!

We're going to spend some time getting totally used to the clicktracks and in-ear monitoring before debuting them sometime in April...  That means you all have 2 months left to enjoy the old-school RocknRoll Superbowl sound, so please keep coming to our public gigs... but prepare to be impressed once April comes around!

So long for now,
Crafty Chris"

Dec 2006:

"The good people of Black Notley know how to throw one hell of a party!  That is all I have to say this month!

Cheers,
Lucky Linc"

Oct 2006:
"The RocknRoll Superbowl bandwagon keeps on rolling.  We've pretty much filled our gig calendar for the next two months, including a Christmas party at my old Uni that I really CAN'T WAIT to play!  Check our Gigs page for all upcoming dates.  See you there!

So long for now,
Crafty Chris"
